Gallery icon set to start taking orders this fall.
The Galleria is set to have a new gallery icon in the middle of the mall on Friday, according to the mall’s spokeswoman, Jessica H. Biermann.
The new icon will be unveiled on Friday and it will be on display for two weeks, beginning with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Biermann said it’s the first time a Galleria collection icon has been set on display in the mall.
“The Galleries collection is an iconic part of the Macy, so it was important to have that in the plaza,” she said.
We will have more to share on that soon, but for now, we can say that the new Galleria gallery icon will begin taking orders in early September.
The Galleries gallery will include the Galleria’s iconic collection of iconic furniture and accessories, as well as new products and collections from retailers including Amazon, Kohl’s and Target.
While the Galleries icon will remain in the Macy`s plaza for now because of its unique nature, there will be a second new gallery feature at the Gallierys new flagship store in the next few weeks.
A number of Macy` s current stores in Pughtsville and Greenville are scheduled to close in early 2018, but the Mall has been able to make some progress in recent months in building new Macy`S stores in the region, said Mall President and CEO Bill McQuillan.
In the past year, the Mall built a new flagship in Greenville and moved forward with a second Macy` d mall in Paugussett.
Last week, the mall announced it will start moving its remaining Macy`d stores in Green and Pughsville to new stores that are set to begin opening this fall in the coming months.
The Gallieries new Galleries location will feature a redesigned exterior, which includes a new logo and signage and will include new seating, new elevators, new amenities and a new public area.
It will be the first mall in the state to build a Galleries Galleria, McQuillsaid.
