WASHINGTON — For the first time, a mall in the U.S. is going to display online art.
The Galliera Mall in Virginia, which opened in 2014, is now open for business.
It will open a new exhibition on March 13, and the gallery wrapped canvases are available for purchase.
“I think the mall is going through a renaissance,” said Mall owner Joe Kupchak.
“It’s going to be a major draw for visitors.”
The Galleria is a two-level, 3,000-square-foot mall that has become popular for weddings and other special events.
It has become a destination for the arts, with exhibitions, music festivals, festivals and even the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
“This is a real gift to the community, to the arts community and to the whole area,” said Kupchanak.
“It’s a gift to our residents.
It’s a great opportunity for the community to connect to the art community.”
A lot of people have been looking for the art in the mall, said K.J. Anderson, the Galleria’s director of marketing.
The artist featured in the new exhibition is “Troy,” a New York artist who lives in Atlanta.
“They’re really interested in the art and have really engaged with it,” said Anderson.
The Galliera was the first of its kind in the country.
It was opened in 2004.
Its gallery wrapped is the first one to open online.
The gallery wrapped was designed to allow artists to showcase their work and be able to sell it.
The mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10:30 a.g. to 5 p.g., and on weekends from 9 a.s. to 4 p.a.
The artist featured at the gallery wrap was also featured in a 2014 exhibit in the same mall.
It featured art by Andy Warhol, who lived in the Mall for six years and died there in 2001.
