The Walt Disney Company has announced plans to release a movie based on the “Wreck-It Ralph” video game franchise in 2017.
The film will star characters from the video game series, including Princess Aurora, Elsa, Anna and Rapunzel.
Disney said in a news release on Wednesday that the film will be released at the end of this year.
The film will also feature a new voice cast, including new voice actors for Elsa, Elsa’s sister, Anna, Anna’s husband, and Rapunaël.
It will be the first time that Disney has released a film starring a princess in a feature film since 2014’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
“Wreck it Ralph” stars Ralph Wiggum as the titular villain, played by Will Arnett.
It was originally released in 2014 and was remade as a feature on Disney XD in 2016.
The original “Wrestlemania” event that drew so many people to Walt Disney World in Orlando in 2016 also spawned “Walt Disney World: A Musical,” a musical adaptation of the “wrestle” game.
