Samsung has opened a new exhibition space at the mall of Asia’s tallest building, the Mall, which will be called the “Art gallery”.
“Art galleries have always been an important part of malls,” said Samsung President and CEO Joon Ki-young.
“It is our goal to showcase the beauty of the design and craftsmanship of the Samsungs latest products, in an accessible and fun environment for all.”
The “Art” gallery is part of Samsung’s ongoing commitment to the mall, where it plans to display its latest products including its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
The Samsung Art Gallery, which is set to open in early 2018, is located at the corner of Pangong and Changpang Streets in Singapore.
Samsung said the Art Gallery will also feature Samsung-exclusive merchandise.
“This is a very exciting space that showcases the amazing designs and craftmanship of our latest products,” Samsung said in a statement.
“Our customers will be able to walk in and explore these new designs with us as they enjoy the art, while also seeing their creations on the exhibition wall and sharing their reactions with us.”
It’s not yet clear how many Samsung products will be on display at the Art gallery, but it is expected to include the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy A5, Note 3 and Galaxy S4.
The company said it is working on “a new design and packaging” for the Artgallery, which it said would be launched “soon”.
“The design for the new exhibition is already underway and is currently being developed.
We are also working with the mall management to create a brand new concept for the store,” the company said.
“This new concept will be available to the public soon, so we will let you know as soon as it is ready.”
Samsung is also planning to launch a new fashion store at the site, which has been in the works for years.
The Art gallery is currently under construction, but the building’s developer, the Singapore Government, said the mall’s development would not stop there.
“We will work with the Government to make sure that the mall remains vibrant and safe,” the mall development company, Raffles Development Group, said.
“In the meantime, we look forward to introducing Samsung products to the malls, which we know will be a welcome experience for visitors and the local communities.”
