The art gallery will hold a two-week exhibition in Gulbaghat on November 13 and 14.
It will be the first such exhibition in the city’s Gulbis area and the first in Delhi to showcase the work of contemporary artists.
The exhibition is the first of its kind in the country and aims to educate the public on contemporary art.
The exhibition will feature works by the likes of Kolkata-based artist Ashok Mehta, Bengaluru-based painter Nithyan Das, Bengal-based sculptor Ashok Kumar and others.
Kolkata born artist Ashod Kaur, who also worked in the Bengaluru art scene, will also participate in the exhibition.
“The exhibition has been initiated as a means of showcasing the unique talents of artists and drawing the attention of the general public to the works that we are seeing in the galleries,” said Dinesh Rajan, CEO, Gulbagarhat.
He said the exhibition was a way to highlight the uniqueness of the city and its artists.
“It is important to highlight how our art has changed over time, in an attempt to attract visitors to visit and appreciate our art.
It is a way of saying ‘thank you’ to the people who have supported our artists and artisans,” said Rajan.
Rajan said that the exhibition would be hosted by the art gallery’s curators.
“We have selected the area where we want to exhibit, and this is a major milestone in the process of launching our exhibition.
The gallery will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” he said.
